I along side my team have received donations of Foods items and Drugs as usual from a business tycoon and a philanthropist Alhaji Murtala Abdulkadir (Dan Iya Jarma) on behalf of Sokoto State Zakat and Endowment Commission. The food items and drugs are to be distributed to vulnerable and less privileged people including the IDPs.
The donations consist of 20 bags of Rice, 10 bags of Millet, Maize, Corns and packages of drugs. This assistance will no doubt reduce the hardship being faced by the IDPs in the state during this economic crisis caused by the subsidy removal.
While thanking Dan Iyan Jarman Sokoto for kind gesture and the assistance, we call on other wealthy individuals in the state to emulate this kind gesture and assistance.
We equally congratulate him for the recent appointment as the Executive Chairman Sokoto State Schoolaship Board by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Sokoto State Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto FCNA
