The Sokoto State Zakat and Waqf Commission (SOZECOM) is a government-led agency established in 1997 by the Sokoto State Government, mandated to regulate, maintain, and develop the overall collection, management, and distribution of Zakat and Waqf for the state of Sokoto, Nigeria.

As a legal entity having financial and administrative independence, SOZECOM is linked to the Sokoto State Government with a clear strategy that charts the way to advance the ZAKAT and the Waqf (Waqf) sector for Northern Nigeria while maintaining its organization, growth, and development, it plays a role in the sustainability of the non-profit sector.
